The best way to visit Bologna is from Piazza Maggiore: here you can admire the Palazzo del Podestà, with the Torre dell’Arengo, the Palazzo dei Notai, the Palazzo comunale (or d’Accurisio), the Basilica of San Petronio and the Loggia of the benches.

Other city symbols are the Fontana del Nettuno by the local sculptor Giambologna and the medieval towers, among which stand out the Asinelli (98 meters high) and the Garisenda (50 meters).

The Bolognese arcades, which extend for about 40km, make the city unique in the world:

They allow, in fact, to walk through the streets of the center, go shopping and find shelter in all seasons.

From art to flavors:

from 21 to 24 November, in Piazza XX Settembre, Cioccoshow comes again: among the medieval buildings of the center you can find the best products of Italian and foreign chocolatiers.

Two exhibitions not to be missed:

Palazzo Albergati (until 1 March 2020) is held by Chagall. Dream of love, with 150 masterpieces by the Russian painter and at Palazzo Pallavicini (until January 26) an exhibition dedicated to the Colombian artist Fernando Botero is set up.
